End of Summer Fun

August 19, 2011 by Marj Hatzell

Yes, I’m well aware that summer extends into September. So there.

Let’s see…

Daisy’s breath smelled like poo this morning. Which means she ate some in the yard. Or in the house. That’s always fun.

Thunderstorms aplenty here in The City of Brotherly Love. And naturally they occur at about 1am or so, right when I’m in the deepest sleep. But JEHOSHAPHAT those were baaaaad storms. Creepy, even. Like, bright-red-flashing-light-on-the-weather-channel bad.

Parental units. Still dealing with health issues. Still pretty stressful. Still worried about them going home and being able to take care of themselves and each other.

Bugaboo has actually been sleeping. But his new trick? Waking up dry and before I can get to him and get him to the bathroom right away he just gets up and pees next to his bed. Or on his wall. Or on his bed. This is slightly annoying.

Since I’m not having any more babies, I’ve decided I have no more use for Aunt Flo or this menopausal crap that I’m far too young for. GOT THAT MOTHER NATURE????

Bug Boy slept until 11am this morning and he was in bed and asleep before 10 last night. 13 hours? He must be coming down with something.

My husband came home from work early. This annoys me when my schedule is interrupted. No, I’m not routine oriented, why do you ask? It’s not like I wash myself in the same order every day or eat the same way every day or anything. Oh wait, I do…

I’m looking forward to school starting so I have some quiet time. Just sayin’.

And this was another post about absosmurfly nothing. You’re welcome.

    early husbands. grrrr.

Bugaboo must be related to my 8-year-old 🙂 I need a new mattress & boxsprings. When I get them, they will both be put inside a zipped plastic mattress cover. Oh and the carpet is a total loss too — I too often don’t see when he has pee’ed or which side of the bed. The aromoa in my bedroom goes well with the art on the walls (notice I didn’t say hung) — very ASD-like.

“I’m looking forward to school starting so I have some quiet time.” I hear you on that one. 10 more days. Not that I’m counting.

  4. So with you on Aunt Flo. Sigh.

  5. I’m also looking forward to school starting so I have some quiet time.
