It has arrived.
In 24 hours ,ten minutes and thirty-nine seconds, (not that I’m counting) spring break begins. Which means Bug Boy and Bugaboo are home.
And most importantly?
NO NAPS FOR ME.
I thought I’d spend this whole week sleeping in, taking awesome naps, getting ahead on housework, taking care of myself, etc. So what did I do this week? I volunteered. A lot. Every day, almost all day. Got my arse out of the house and did something. And haven’t taken one nap this week. DURRRRRR.
Also? The Guy I Live With is away this weekend at my baby brother’s bachelor weekend extravaganza. They are going deep sea fishing (WHOA) and playing poker (WHOA) and might even go to Hooters. Of course, I call him my baby brother. He’s thirty. Not such a baby these days. I guess. And stuff.
So the hubs being away means mommy can’t do her usual weekend sleep in because the Daddy won’t be here to allow the Mommy to sleep in. Boo.
I’ma thinkin’ I gots to keep them busy next week. Very busy. Out of the house busy.
Somebody hold me!
To be fair, each and every break we’ve been on has gotten easier and easier since Bugaboo started at his new school. And Bug Boy does fine, so long as he goes to bed at a decent hour and sleeps a decent amount and eats some decent food.
But. You can hold me ANYWAYS. And send taters. Lots of ’em. And bacon. Cheese is nice, too.
