Bug Boy takes after his Momma. We are both hyperlexic, totally awesome readers, obsessed with word puzzles and spend much of our free time playing on-line word games or filling in the monthly word game books. This evening he begged for some computer time (never, ever allowed on a school night) but he has been terribly stressed out and anxious and I know how much it can relax him and alter his mood. Needless to say, I gave in. Fifteen minutes. Bad Mommy.
He picked one of my favorite games. He and his little girlfriend (they’d both protest at me saying that but the truth is he’s a boy, she’s a girl and they are friends. Hence, girlfriend) sat and looked for words. They chatted and giggled and had a good time. And just before time was up, I gave him the warning. And the last word he picked was…
“Mom! What does S-L-U-T mean? I just got a SLUT! And it was worth 2500! WOOHOO! SLUT! SLUT!”
Yeah, I know how to raise ’em.
