This is why we love The Best Babysitter in the Whole Wide World. We get home and my house is clean, the floor is picked up, one or both kids are in bed and it is calm and peaceful. I can’t tell you how much it means to me to have her come and be with our kids. She is totally awesome.
We went out for a swanky dinner and had a nice time chatting and strolling in town afterwards. It was the perfect time to stop in at little shops and take in the scenery, people watching as we sauntered down the sidewalk. Dinner was good but veyr pricey, so we decided NOT to go there when we have to pay a babysitter, since we dropped $100 between both last night. Too much for us on a casual night out. I mean, I’m happy with pizza or Panera but we usually try to hit a place where we cannot take the kids. The place we went was it: great ambiance, great service, yummy food. Just a little out of our budget. I mean, that date cost as much as one hour of Bugaboo’s therapy.
We do NOT regret it, for certain. We had time as a couple to reconnect and just enjoy each other, without worrying where Bugaboo was or if Bug Boy was anxious and melting down. I want the babysitter to move in with me. Forever. I don’t think she will though…
