At precisely Eleven this morning I will have either a hole cut into my nose (again) or an action plan on how to get rid of the rest of my pesky-little skin cancer. One of the lesions is as large as one of my nostrils and is located on the side of my face. I would not be as concerned with the scars it leaves as THE ONE ON THE TIP OF MY NOSE, which is sure to be more noticeable. I am not a vain person by nature (as evidenced by the way I dress when I go out in public!) and tend to avoid mirrors and scales unless they are abso-smurfly necessary. But a big-honking-red-scar-on-the-end-of-my-large-honker? That will be a little much for me. Let’s hope the Dermatologist has a good plan for getting rid of this. They are talking lasers, which I’d prefer. I dunno. The good news about the lasers is that it will also improve my skin textures (YEAH!). The bad news? The insurance may or may not cover it (and y’all know how much I LERVE the insurance companies. Yup. I do, I do.).
Enjoy your blustery fall day. This is my FAVORITE kind of weather. Slightly coolish-warmish-dampish-windy(ish). Is that a word? It is now.
