You have no frickin’ idea how happy I am that tomorrow is Friday.
A friend was kind enough to pass this along to me, please do yourselves a favor and watch it. I know, Yootoob is soooooo two hours ago, but this is worth it. Pretty much sums up bedtime around here.
I totally met a celebrity today. I follow this blawg, like, every flippin’ day and I MET HER AT A SCHOOL FUNCTION! w00t!
Bugaboo is still coughing. Last night he was up with a fever until, oh, let’s just say he fell asleep as the alarm went off. And it woke him up again. He was very calm today (imagine that!) and actually interacted with me, tried to speak when I prompted him (it was gibberish but totally appropriate!) and played with me and snuggled. He also watched tv. He never watches tv. I have to be the only parent alive that is overjoyed at the thought of my offspring watching a few hours of tv today. I’m such a good mom. It saved my sanity today, though, so I’m forgiven. Well, kinda. It was Teletubbies. Like, four hours of it. The same one, over and over and over and over…
I finally took a shower today. I know, TMI. I bet y’all could smell me from where you were. Seriously, two days of not washing my hair and my face is all ruddy and nasty looking. You know, like it always is. And that crud they gave me for my little basal cell problem is making my face peel off in layers each day so I look like a character from V or something. So I take a shower and the whole time Bugaboo is playing peekaboo with the curtain. He wanted to get in. I finished up, got dressed, put him in the bathtub in his bathroom and twenty minutes later forgot the water was still running. Lucky for me, he hit the drain. Unlucky for me, he poured several cups of water out of the tub onto the floor. The kitchen floor needed to be mopped anyways…
There is soccer tomorrow. Oh, and soccer. Or football, or futbol if you live anywhere else but here. And then Sunday I promise not to mess up and forget about Sunday School. Because last week was the first day of Sunday school/CCD for the
heathens public school kids and I forgot because I am a total genius. Bug Boy was home with a nasty cold anyways. But the teacher looked at me like, “YOU PUBLIC SCHOOL TYPES!” when I told her he wouldn’t be there that week because his mother is an eejit so we are off to a great start. They might let him do some sacraments someday, if I can remember to take him.
And on Monday? I am totally going to the gym. Or sleeping all day to catch up. One of the two.
