Yup. 5:30 in the a.m. Indecent hour!
Darling woke up first, headed downstairs and began playing computer games. Naturally I woke up, too, because you cannot stay in bed with a full bladder once you’ve moved. And even though I stopped drinking at nine, emptied my bladder at eleven, woke up at two and emptied again, woke up at four and emptied AGAIN, I still had to go before six. And when I heard Darling wake up and shuffle downstairs it was only a matter of minutes before Bugaboo was singing to himself in his room.
“DIIIIIDOOOO!!!! OOOOO OOOOOO EEEEEEEEEEE!!!!”
The good news is that Bug Boy is gone for a few days, the house is peaceful and quiet and we are enjoying our time with Bugaboo. We do not often have the chance to spend time one-on-one with Bugaboo, without repeated interruptions from jealous older brothers. He is interactive, affectionate and thrilled to have us all to himself. In fact, he has been sitting on the floor and playing, hogging Darling all to himself and following me from room to room humming and singing to himself. Last night we took him to get a milkshake, which he drank about 95% of before tossing it on the floor. Of the newly cleaned and vac’d van. Darling was not so amused but Bugaboo gave him a look that said, “I was DONE!” You know, the one where they furrow their brow and the hairy eyeball comes out? That one.
